November is National Adoption Awareness Month! All adoption-related issues are important, but the particular focus this year is finding loving and permanent homes for foster children who are waiting to be adopted. Promoting awareness can be done through planned events and campaigns, gatherings and celebrations, and simple everyday activities. You can share ideas and advocacy plans on the National Adoption Awareness Month message board at
www.AdoptionForums.com, send a virtual card to people who have touched your life through adoption at
www.E-cards.Adoption.com, and be sure to talk to your child about adoption. Whether your child is adopted or knows someone who is, helping your child understand the adoption triad
will encourage confidence when hearing about adoption.
